Everyday Use - Alice Walker

The infamous Alice Walker blesses readers throughout the world with this text. This confusing story is about the new school vs old school in a broad sense. New school Dee or "Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo" is Dee in her all most natural 100% self. She leaves her moms safe haven (read: home) goes to the city and returns a much more experienced , educated, and self worth knowing individual than she previously was. This short story is best deserving of a visual representation, reading the text in itself by itself doesn't suffice!

A good man is hard to find - Flannery O'Connor

"A good man is hard to find" is a sad, funny and entertaining read to say the least. O'Connor leaves so much more than what you read to be understood and interpreted. He hides clever clues within the story all throughout, starting with the title. The title although seemingly regular or, bland by my standards has a hidden meaning that helps reveal where this story is going/theme. the title "A good man is hard to find" by itself is very vague, you cannot tell if this story is going to be a love story or something like that. It is not until i read an analytical review from someone else that i discovered the title is a short excerpt from a song and the following lines are "but you always get the other kind". Once i discovered that it opened my mind to more hidden meanings and cleverly placed clues throughout the text leading me to alternate meanings to what seems like the obvious.
